Temu Tom's Trillion-Dollar Fantasy Will Bankrupt California

Tom Steyer stood on stage today and declared he cannot be bought.
Brilliant line. Especially for a billionaire actively trying to buy California with your tax dollars.
He is marching across the state promising 25% lower energy bills. He promises a million new homes. He promises single-payer healthcare.
It sounds amazing on a lawn sign. The reality is a complete joke. California is staring down an $18 billion budget deficit according to the Legislative Analyst's Office. We cannot afford a massive economic disaster.
Start with healthcare. The state's own Healthy California for All Commission pegged single-payer at over $500 billion a year. That is nearly double the entire state budget.
We have already watched Medi-Cal explode after expanding to undocumented immigrants. The Legislative Analyst's Office recently confirmed the state is spending $10.8 billion this year alone just to cover that undocumented expansion. Steyer wants to double down on that disaster. He wants to put every Californian in a centralized government-run system.
His energy plan is even more detached from reality. Steyer's TV ads scream to break up the utility monopolies. That is political code for handing the power grid directly to Sacramento bureaucrats.
Municipalizing PG&E would cost taxpayers tens of billions upfront. It would then put California taxpayers on the hook for every fire and every spark.
Worse yet his green transition is a direct taxpayer subsidy to Beijing. California deserves real climate leadership built right here with American jobs.
Instead Steyer wants to rip out American utilities and replace them with hardware from a foreign rival. China currently controls 98% of global solar wafer production and nearly 70% of the world EV battery market.
That is not climate leadership. That is Temu economics. It relies on cheap imported knockoffs that enrich a hostile power and gut California workers.
California already produces so much daytime solar that we literally pay Arizona to take the excess. Dumping more cheap imported panels onto a broken grid will never lower your bills. We need reliable baseload power. Investing in small-scale nuclear and next-generation geothermal will actually lower costs and create California jobs.
His housing promise is the exact same dangerous illusion. Mandating 1 million homes in four years sounds bold until you look at the actual price tag.
The average affordable unit in California now costs $430,000 to build. Steyer's plan equals a staggering $430 billion.
Add it all up. A half-trillion-dollar healthcare takeover. A $430 billion housing mandate. Tens of billions to seize the power grid.
That is a trillion-dollar socialist fantasy.
Steyer claims this massive housing mandate will magically solve our street crisis. That is a dangerous lie. You cannot build your way out of an addiction epidemic. He refuses to touch the real drivers of homelessness like severe drug abuse and unchecked mental illness.
Tom Steyer is not a governor. He is a billionaire activist shopping a radical experiment on your dime.
California voters are waking up to the truth. We do not want imported knockoff promises. We want real results-driven leadership that actually lowers costs and rebuilds abundance.
Reject the cheap politics of Temu Tom before he gets the chance to break our state for good.
